If you have taken college credits and are ready to begin your journey to becoming a nurse, you may qualify for TLU’s Accelerated Transfer Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

  • If you have completed 64 credits or more, you may meet the minimum education requirement to enroll in the Accelerated Transfer BSN program.
  • If you have completed less than 64 credits, learn more about TLU’s on-ground Bachelor of Science in Nursing program here.

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

  • Associate degree or equivalent or a bachelor’s degree in another field of study from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Recommended cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Successful completion of all required prerequisites

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)

The ABSN track is designed for applicants who want to make a career change to nursing and have at least an associate degree or equivalent or a bachelor’s degree in another field of study. The ABSN can be completed in as few as 16 months of full-time study.

Direct-Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN)

The DEMSN track is designed for applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree in any academic major looking to make a career change to nursing. It can be completed in as few as 20 months of full-time study and will prepare you to take the NCLEX-RN exam to become a registered nurse. The DEMSN program is held on campus in our New Braunfels and Houston locations, with the first DEMSN Houston cohort starting Fall 2025.
